The Flexible Smart Traction Power Supply System and Its Hierarchical Energy Management Strategy

With the increasing requirements of railway sector for electrified railways and development society, traction power supply system needs to become more flexible, economic reliable. The traditional has many problems due its own topology, such as negative sequence current, load fluctuation, low utilization rate regenerative braking energy, inability use distributed generation along railway. In order solve these make (TPSS) efficient reliable, a novel TPSS called flexible smart (FSTPSS) is proposed. This consists AC-DC-AC substation microgrid It can effectively mitigate improve energy utilization. A hierarchical management strategy also proposed here, which operating economy FSTPSS reduce fluctuation FSTPSS. And based on actual measurement China’s Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, been verified improvement reduction TPSS.
